People like Palm Pre For the Most Part

A rather small survey of palm pre and iphone users was done. By rather small I don't think it gives a good consensus of the variety of users. Palm Pre Owners like their phone. At any rate the palm pre doesn't have the apps as the iphone does but in terms of functionality probably isn't that far off. And sprint offers probably the cheapest of the unlimited plans of all the carriers.

Mr Doom and Gloom, Technology Security for Kids

In network security there is always the drive of creating the most secure network imaginable. To achieve that security risks and vulnerabilities are constantly being assessed, evaluated and fixes being resolved. Also most network security experts would say that the weakest links are the people that use the network. Usually the way to fix the people as the weakest link is with training and sometimes scenarios.

Apple being a little Insane

So I am curious as to which apple executives have lost all the cards in their card decks except the jokers, either way their current business model is absurd. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy my mac and have no intentions of leaving it anytime soon and they still have some great products. But when stuff like this comes out: iPhone Jailbreaking could crash cellphone towers.

Short lived but fun

Apparently I am not destined to have fancy small electronic gadgets around yet. But even though the iPod touch I had was short lived I can still write a little bit about it. First off the way apple markets the iPhone and iPod Touch, the touch misses a lot of the emphasis of the sales point. Basically they make the iPod Touch to be sort of like the 5th wheel treatment or the odd man out. Sure the Touch has a similar set of features of the phone but to me some of those features seemed like they were kind of stapled on instead of being tightly integrated.

Apple's App Store

There have been quite a few discussions on apple's approval process for iPhone/iPod Touch apps lately. At least the apps that are getting disapproved for seemingly minor things or things that just don't make that much sense to begin with. Now it is at Apple's discretion on what gets put into their store or not. However like many others, This process should be looked at a little bit closer by Apple.
