So I went fishing today, and the trip was mostly about the fishing. But I did try a little science at one point in the day. Didn't work out quite so well and wasn't totally unexpected. So a little background is in order first. Watching episode 2 of The Discovery Channel's show The Colony they tasked themselves to establish a renewable energy system. What they came up with was quite interesting, it involved an internal combustion engine a car alternator and what is called a wood gasifier.
